I have always believed in the power of public service to change lives. Public service is not just a job it’s a calling.

My deep interest in science, community service, and law enforcement at an early age led me to a federal career in forensic science with the U.S. Secret Service. I began as a Fingerprint Specialist in the field and succeeded to the Crime Laboratory Director overseeing forensic analyses, biometrics, research, and evidence operations, globally.

Through my experiences, I witnessed firsthand how working in public service can bring fulfillment and transformation throughout the community, however, I also saw talented professionals in the industry that felt stuck, uncertain, or underutilized in their roles.
